FAQ
Our practice uses a holistic approach to mental health, offering a range of comprehensive telehealth services, including psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, and lifestyle medicine. We provide high-quality care for children and adults of all ages.
Our practice emphasizes therapy and holistic coping methods for mental health conditions. We believe that stimulants carry more risks than benefits for patient health and safety, so we have a policy of not prescribing them.
Our care team does not handle medical emergencies via telehealth. If you or your child is experiencing a medical emergency, considering self-harm or harm to others, or is in imminent danger, please call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest emergency room.
For crises involving suicidal thoughts, we strongly recommend in-person treatment. Please note that after the initial assessment, we may refuse telehealth services if our providers determine they cannot offer adequate care remotely.
Our telehealth platform is secure and HIPAA compliant. The teleconferencing software encrypts all data, including video and audio. Additionally, notes and medical records created for your care are protected and encrypted on a HIPAA-compliant secure platform.
At this time, we are only in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield. If you have another insurance plan that offers out-of-network benefits, we are happy to provide all necessary billing information required for reimbursement.
Private pay pricing varies based on appointment type. Most common are:
- New/initial patient appointment, 50 minutes: $300 USD
- Established patient appointment, 50 minutes: $275 USD
- Established patient appointment, 30 minutes: $150 USD
Additionally, under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of what your services may cost. Please request one if you plan to private pay.
You are financially responsible for the cost of the mental health services provided to you or your dependent(s) and for any portion of the fees not reimbursed or covered by your health insurance, including late cancellations and missed appointments. Also, please note that you may be responsible for copays and any deductibles.
When you schedule an appointment with us, we reserve that time exclusively for you to ensure you receive the highest quality care. To maintain this standard, we do not double-book our providers. Missed appointments prevent other patients from receiving care.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to offer the time slot to other patients who may be waiting.
We understand that emergencies can arise unexpectedly. However, to be fair to all patients and providers, we have the following policy:
- If an established patient fails to show up or cancels/reschedules without contacting us at least 24 hours before the appointment, a $100 fee will be charged. This fee is the patient's responsibility and is not covered by insurance.
- Patients who no-show three or more times may be dismissed from our practice.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to serve all our patients effectively.
If you have questions about your coverage or financial responsibility, please contact your insurance plan administrator directly.
Patients must have a charge card on file with our secure third-party billing platform. Acceptable cards include credit, debit, or HSA/FSA cards. Your card will be charged for the amount due either after your appointment or once your health insurance confirms your patient responsibility.
To streamline the payment process for telehealth appointments, where traditional checkout is not possible, we require a default electronic payment method, such as a credit or debit card, before your appointment. We also accept HSA and FSA cards. Thank you for your cooperation.
